PNP Mass Wedding

          The Philippine National Police through the PNP Chaplain Service headed by its Director, REV FR (PSSUPT) DEODY O BARRET, conducted Mass Wedding or “Kasalang Bayan 2013|” last February 14, 2013 as part of the celebration of the 22nd Founding Anniversary of the PNP.


          This is an annual tradition of the PNP wherein PNP personnel are given free wedding complete with reception and cash gift from the Chief, PNP. This is also in line with the advocacy of the Chief PNP, PDG ALAN LM PURISIMA of giving priority to good and healthy family relations.

          According to REV FR (PSUPT) JASON D ORTIZO, there were 17 couples particapated the Mass Wedding with the Command Group and their Wives headed by the Chief PNP and Mrs Lydia I Purisima as Principal Sponsors.

          “This Mass Wedding expresses the commitment of the Chaplain Service in transforming from within all our PNP personnel with sound moral and spiritual values, and the most important value that inspires our PNP personnel to render public service is the value of a loving family that begins during matrimony”, said Father Jason.

          The “Kasalang Bayan 2013” was held at 3PM at the St Joseph Chapel, Camp Crame with MOST REVEREND LEOPOLDO S TUMULAK, DD as main celebrant together will the Catholic Chaplains of the PNP Chaplain Service.
