WEBINAR FOR PRO 7 SQUAD WEEKLY INTERACTIVE MEETING (S.W.I.M.) SQUAD LEADERS (SL)
The PNP Chaplain Service under the command of PBGEN JASON D ORTIZO, Director, conducted one-day Webinar for Squad Leaders of SWIM from PRO 7 on September 9, 2021, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN via Zoom platform.
The webinar aims to engage with the Squad Leaders in order to re-orient and explain the roles and responsibilities as leaders of their squad.
Other topics such as: Sustaining the Interfaith SQUAD System, Monitoring and Accountability; Coaching Ministry, and Psycho-Spiritual Stress Management were also discussed for them to be develop in performing their important role as squad leaders.
The Director of the Chaplain Service in his message, thanked the leadership of the PRO 7 and the squad leaders for giving time in joining the webinar, he encouraged them to sustain the SWIM activities and make ways to coordinate always with their Values Life Coach (VLC). Further, PBGEN ORTIZO exhort the participants to support the e-Gabay program of the PNP.
Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City---- The Regional Pastoral Office (RPO) of Police Regional Office 13 under the leadership of Reverend Father POLICE CAPTAIN LORENZO R. RUGA taking steps to bring the Philippine National Police closer to the people by conducting activities rooted in the PNP core values Maka-Diyos (God-fearing) and Makatao (Humane) which aims to bring hope to our fellow Caraganons amid this pandemic.
Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR, PRO13 Director applauded the BARANGAYanihan activities conducted by RPO13.
Gift-giving activities were conducted in Barangay Cantugas, Mainit, Surigao del Norte on August 14, 2021, that benefitted ten Indigenous People families of Mamanwa tribe, another in Gesu Eucaristico Children's Inc., Home for the Abused Children in Barangay Manapa, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte on July 24, 2021, that benefitted ten nuns and 17 abused children and in Purok 3, Brgy. Masao, Butuan City on July 10, 2021, wherein another 10 families received food packs.
“The gifts we gave to the people come from the offerings and donations of PRO13 personnel and parish parishioners of Saint Ignatius de Loyola Chapel. In this simple gesture of giving, we hope to provide even a little aid to the people, especially to those who are greatly affected by the pandemic,” Reverend Father Ruga said.
The region’s top cop assured the public that aside from the PNP Caraga’s efforts to provide peace and security in the region, the police do not discount its responsibility to help those who are in need citing that the region’s BARANGAYanihan activities from April to July of this year already benefitted more than 100,000 Caraganons.

A total of 12 individual was baptized while 59 received confirmations in a Mass Baptism and Confirmation initiated by the Davao Norte RPSB’s Revitalized-Pulis sa Barangay in Brgy. Kasilak, Panabo City, Davao del Norte on Tuesday morning August 10, 2021.
Rev Fr PCoL Marlou N Labares, Chief RPO11 together with Rev Fr FSupt Randy C Baluso, Rev Fr Maj Pedro Maniwang, Rev. Fr. Florencio Acedo Jr, and Rev Fr Lt Peter A Ezarsa led the ceremony as concelebrants.
The activity served as an avenue for them to get their birth certificates and to be considered as an official citizen of the country.
Also present during the ceremony were PCoL Ranie P Hachuela, Provincial Director, DNPPO, PMaj Rowena Jacosalem, RPSB Focal person, RPSB Team Kasilak led by PLt Maheed Jialil and the RCADD personnel of PRO 11.
The Tagbilaran City Police Station were blessed when PBGEN JASON D. ORTIZO, PNP Director for Chaplain Services, visited and ignited the moral values of the personnel during the latter’s very inspirational speech on July 27, 2021, 11:00 in the morning, at Saulog Gymnasium, this city.
PBGEN Ortizo, during his discourse, shared his life struggles including the recent “Life & Death” experience against the covid-19 and how his faith overcame it. He also emphasizes the importance of life coaches and likewise thanked them for their unconditional support as volunteers in order to help PNP personnel coped with their emotional struggles, should there be any.
On the other hand, The Chief of Police, PLTCOL MARY CRYSTAL B PERALTA, was very thankful for the visit and assured the director that TCPS Personnel will continue to conduct the preventive approach of the Enhanced Revitalized PNP Internal Cleansing Strategy; enrichment of consciousness of the PNP personnel on norms of conduct including spiritual and moral enhancements.
