HALF-DAY WEBINAR FOR PRO 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B & 5 SQUAD WEEKLY INTERACTIVE MEETING (S.W.I.M.) SQUAD LEADERS (SL)
The PNP Chaplain Service under the command of PBGEN JASON D ORTIZO, Director, has conducted One-day Webinar for Squad Leaders of SWIM from PRO 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B & 5 on October 5, 2021, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN via Zoom platform. The webinar aims to engage with the Squad Leaders in order to re-orient and explain the roles and responsibilities as leaders of their squad. Other topics such as: Sustaining the Interfaith SQUAD System, Monitoring and Accountability; Coaching Ministry, and Psycho-Spiritual Stress Management were also discussed for them to be develop in performing their important role as squad leaders.
The Director of the Chaplain Service in his message, thanked the leadership of the PRO 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B & 5 and the squad leaders for giving time in joining the webinar, he encouraged them to sustain the SWIM activities and make ways to coordinate always with their Values Life Coach (VLC). Further, PBGEN ORTIZO exhort the participants to support the e-Gabay program of the PNP.

Police Brigadier General JASON D ORTIZO, Director, Chaplain Service, officiated the Fiesta Mass in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel, Patron Saint of Police Regional Office 12, with PBGEN MICHAEL JOHN F DUBRIA, Regional Director, held on September 28, 2021, 7:30 a.m., at Saint Michael the Archangel Chapel, Headquarters, PRO 12, Tambler, General Santos City.
Highlights of the activities are the Blessings of the new Image of Saint Michael the Archangel, Transient Quarters, Table Tennis Facilities, and Concessionaire Building.
Reverend Father (PBGEN) Jason D Ortizo, the PNP Director for Chaplain Service, together with his fellow military and police chaplains as concelebrants, presided over the Holy Mass in celebration of the 41st Feast of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, the Patroness of San Carlos Seminary in Mabolo, Cebu City.
The Holy Mass was a joyous one. Father Ortizo recounted his experiences as a seminarian and also thanked the formators who have helped him along the way. After the mass, a solemn procession was held in the seminary grounds.

Police Brigadier General JASON D ORTIZO, Director, Chaplain Service, conducted Talk to Seminarians of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines (MOP) on September 5, 2021, 10:00am, Sunday, at the CHS Conference Room, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
These Seminarians are the future Chaplains of the AFP, PNP, PCG, BFP and BJMP undergoing Priestly Formation at Domus Josephi Formation Center, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
During the preliminaries, PCOL JAIME C SERIÑA III, Chief of Staff, CHS, introduced to the Seminarians the Informational Briefing of the PNP Chaplain Service, the Mission and Vision, current Situation, Challenges, especially in this time of pandemic, and Ways Forward of the Unit.
Further, PCOL EBRA M MOXIR, Deputy Director, CHS, PCOL RONILO A DATU, Base Catholic/Chief, POD, and Rev Fr Mark Renzi S Ogalesco, Parochial Vicar, shared their thoughts and experiences on the Life and Ministry of the Chaplains, especially in ministering the spiritual and moral growth of the personnel. The Seminarians of the MOP, as well, shared their own aspirations and life - journey as aspirants and future Chaplains.
Finally, PBGEN ORTIZO imparted his personal Message to the Seminarians, encouraging them to persevere in the path of Priesthood and soon serve the men and women of the Uniformed Services, their families and dependents.
